Directions (for artists)

Venlo-Blerick is located west of the Meuse River in the municipality of Venlo in North Limburg, not far from the district of Venlo (which lies east of the Meuse). The municipality of Venlo is directly on the border with Germany.

1. Venlo-Blerick is accessible from all directions via motorways:

  • From the north via Arnhem (motorway A50 and then A73)
  • From the west via Eindhoven (motorway A67)
  • From the south via Maastricht (motorway A2 and then A73)
  • From the east from Germany:
    • - Via Duisburg (motorway 40 and then A67)
    - Via Mönchen Gladbach (motorway 61 and then A73)

2. Further from the A67 or A73:

  • If you are driving on the A73, you must take the exit for the A67
  • Or if you're on the A67, you should take the exit for the A73

If an exit is closed:
Then take a next exit to drive back on the other side of the motorway and take the exit mentioned above in that other direction.
- On the A67 it is best to take the next exit (exit Velden or exit Venlo-Noordwest) to drive back,
- while on the A73, it's best to skip the first exit and turn around via the second one (exit Horst or exit Venlo-Zuid/Tegelen), as that's much easier here.
 

3. At the exit between the A67 and the A73:
Here, follow only the signs for Venlo-W, Venlo-West, or Venlo-Blerick.
At any (possible) other exit, always go straight ahead!

4. You now exit the highway and at the end you turn right.
At this exit, follow (for the last time) towards Venlo-West / Venlo-Blerick.
You will then arrive at Eindhovenseweg, which you should follow (WARNING: Speed cameras).

5. After the first traffic lights after a (small) ESSO gas station, turn right.
Now, you'll be on Burg. Gommansstraat.

6. At the second (small) roundabout, turn left.
This is Scholtis Coopmansstraat, which turns into Ruijsstraat.

7. At the first (small) roundabout you turn left again.
You're now driving on Witherenstraat towards the center of Blerick.

8. Now take the second street on the right (just before the pedestrian zone).
This is Steegstraat.

9. Then you take the first street on the left (Laurentiusstraat).

After a few dozen meters you will reach the art market.

Please report before the entrance to the square.
Do NOT drive onto the square, but wait for instructions and your stall number.

 

Note: The route above may not be the shortest, but it is the easiest to explain. If you're using a navigation system, it might take you to the art market via a slightly different route.
